Brenna Fitzgerald, Hospicare’s Communications Coordinator, will facilitate an interactive discussion of the book The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller, a psychotherapist, writer, and soul activist. In this lyrical book filled with touching stories, Weller offers a poetic handbook for the art of grieving. His insights into grief and the grieving process, including the power of grief rituals and community grieving, reveal a vitality that is possible to encounter when we welcome, rather than fear, the pain of loss.
This event is co-hosted by the Tompkins County Public Library and copies of the book will be available to check out. You can also purchase your book at Buffalo Street Books and receive a 10% discount. Just call or stop by and tell them you are a member of the Hospicare Book Club. If cost is a barrier, please contact Laura Ward via email.
