Remembrance Services

Hospicare holds special events throughout the year to honor those who have died and to celebrate life.

Illuminations

Late spring. Our annual spring community memorial program of music and readings. Pathways that wind through the gardens at the Nina K. Miller Hospicare Center glow with luminarias, each dedicated to the memory of someone who has died.

Annual Memorial Service

November. A service for families and friends of those who died on hospice services held in different faith communities each year. The program includes reflection, music, and a candle-lighting ceremony, followed by a reception hosted by Hospicare volunteers.

Winter Solace

December: This memorial event and fundraiser takes place on a Sunday afternoon in early December. All in our community who are grieving are welcome, regardless of whether your loved one died on Hospicare’s services, are welcome to stop by for a time of remembrance during the busy holiday season. A remembrance board features names of those being remembered.
