Our trained bereavement counselors can provide short-term grief-specific individual counseling for adults 18 and over.
For those whose loved one was on Hospicare’s service, a person may receive these counseling sessions free of charge for 13 months after the death.
For community members, Hospicare offers up to six individual grief counseling sessions. Donations for counseling sessions are encouraged with no one turned away due to inability to pay.
For bereaved young people under 18 years of age, whose loved one died on Hospicare’s services we offer free individual grief-specific counseling free of charge for 13 months after the death.
For parents and caregivers of grieving children, we provide a consultation with a trained bereavement counselor to specifically discuss how best to support your child as they grieve the death of a loved one. The session is intended to provide information and resources, tailored to your particular situation and child.

Each individual and their needs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by Hospicare’s professional grief counselors.
