Stitching Through Grief

Held at: Sew Green, 112 N. Cayuga Street, Ithaca. This workshop is for children age 8-13 who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Each child will learn the basics of using a sewing machine and will sew a 9 panel memory pillow with assistance from the instructors at Sew Green. A Hospicare bereavement counselor trained in working with grieving children will be leading the program. Participants are welcome to bring in fabric that holds memories related to their loved one to be used in the pillow. Additional fabric and all other supplies will be provided. We ask that parents plan to drop their children off and pick them up promptly. Registration required by March 14th.
