Facilitator: Clare Jones
Date: Saturday, June 7
Time: 1:00-2:00pm
Location: Schwarz Jacobsen Meeting Room, Tompkins County Public Library, 101 E. Green Street, Ithaca
In this sixty-minute session, we will journal together to make space for grief and healing. The writer Joan Didion once remarked, “I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means.” Local writer Clare Jones will provide prompts for reflection, but we will leave most of the time open and free for your own quiet journaling in community. The goal of the workshop is simply to make space for writing, connection, and reflection. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own journal. Made possible in full with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Community Arts Partnership. This is the second in a series of four writing workshops to be held this spring and summer. Check the website calendar in the future for information on the next session.
Participants must reside in Tompkins County. Registration is required by June 4th and there is no cost. Use the form below. For more information contact the Bereavement staff via email at bereavement@hospicare.org or phone (607) 272-0212.
