Throughout the year, Hospicare holds many events and programs, including ongoing grief support groups and special one-time or limited-time sessions. Hospicare also holds fundraising activities and outreach and educational events.

Book Discussion: Grief is Love: Living with Loss by Marisa Renee Lee

Description: Peaches Gillette will facilitate an interactive discussion of the book, Grief is Love: Living with Loss. In this book, author Marisa Renee Lee reveals that healing, does not mean moving on after losing a loved one — healing means learning to acknowledge and create space for your grief. It is about learning to love the one you lost with the same depth, passion, joy, and commitment you did when they were alive, perhaps even more. Each participant will receive a free copy of the book, courtesy of the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library. Books are available for pickup at Hospicare, 172 E. King Road, Ithaca during regular business hours (8:30am-4:30pm). If you are unable to come in to get your book, please send an email to the address below and we will make other arrangements.
