The 4th Annual Women Swimmin', a benefit for HPCS, took place on Saturday, August 11.

It was a glorious morning: the lake was calm as 246 swimmers - ages 18 to 68 - swam the 1.2 mile section of lower Cayuga Lake. As they swam, escorted by over 150 colorful kayaks and canoes, the early morning fog lifted and the sun began to shine, creating a perfect Finger Lakes summer day. The presence of so many boaters serving as support prompted one swimmer to declare at the finish: "This event works like Hospicare. The boaters are our guiding angels."
