“Fund-raising is all about flow; freeing it, inviting it, channeling it, and enabling people to experience themselves in the nourishment of that flow, wherever they are along the way.”
Lynne Twist
Hospicare needs your financial help
Hospicare and Palliative Care Services depends in a very significant way on a flow of generosity from our community:
Gifts given in memory of someone who has died
Donations honoring a person or event
Cornell Wrestling benefit
Illuminations
Light the Landscape
Annual Friends’ Campaign
Fundraisers run by community groups and individuals
Miscellaneous donations
These contributions comprise about 25% of our annual operating budget. They enable us to provide compassionate care to patients and their families; no one is turned away because they are uninsured or inadequately insured. Because of the community’s generosity, we are able to provide comfort measures which often far exceed the reimbursement we receive from Medicare.
Donations also pay for bereavement services to anyone in the community; for community education and outreach, and for new programs.
Protecting the Future
Some people have included Hospicare and Palliative Care Services in their estate planning. A donor advised fund helps to support our palliative care service. Bequests have enabled us to pay off our mortgage, and to start building an endowment fund. For more information about planned giving, please contact Ann Tonzi at 607-272-0212 or atonzi@hospicare.org.
Alternatively, send a check (made to Hospicare) to:

On behalf of the patients, families, staff, and volunteers at Hospicare and Palliative Care Services of Tompkins County, we THANK YOU!
