Become A Volunteer!
Thank you for considering making a commitment to help those in need in your community.
Step one: Application
Complete and return a volunteer application form
Step two: Interview
The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you for a personal interview. During the interview, we’ll learn more about your skills and interests and share with you our needs, to see if we can find a position that will be fulfilling for you and beneficial to the patients and families we serve.
Step three: Orientation & Training
A one- to two-hour orientation, as well as on-the-job training, is provided to volunteers working in the office, helping with landscaping, assisting with special events, and those providing massage, pet visits or music.
Patient care and bereavement volunteers must complete a 20-hour core training course that is scheduled twice a year and additional, specialized training tailored to specific areas of service as needed.
Our next volunteer training will be in the fall.
